Nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award

I have been nominated for another blogger award!!!! Ahhhhhhh (still as crazy as when I got nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award as you can see!). This time, I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.

Nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award

Who nominated me?

I have been nominated by the lovely Geraldine from geraldinetalks.com.  You can also find her on Twitter here, on Instagram here and finally on Pinterest here. You should go check her and follow her: she’s such an adorable and fun person! I’m sure you’ll love her!

Geraldine, thank you so much for the nomination!! I’m so happy and honored (and also really surprised!) It made my day!!

The rules of the Versatile Blogger Award

This award is about sharing 7 things/facts about yourself for your readers to get to know you better. Like all the other awards, the Versatile Blogger Award has rules, that I listed right below:

Nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award - Rules

7 facts/things about myself

I guess it’s time for me to tell you a bit more about myself! Let’s go!

1  I AM ALSO A DANCE TEACHER

My background is in Marketing, BUT once I leave from work, I’ma blogger but also a dance teacher! I generally teach in the evening during the week or at festivals, parties or events on the weekend. What do I teach? Kizomba! It’s a dance coming from Angola that I discover a bit more than 3 years ago. My dance partner (and boyfriend) have been dancing it for 7 years now, so when we met, we started to perform (in groups with other couples) and later we started to teach together. Our next step in our plan is to continue teaching Kizomba and start teaching Bachata (from the Dominican Republic). We also helped in the creation of wedding dances, so if you want us to create a small choreography for your wedding dance, then get in touch with me! (You know where to find me haha)

2  I AM SUCH A FOODIE

You said dessert? Here I come! You proposed crips? Yes, please! Who’s craving for a chicken teriyaki donburi from Wagamama? Me, I’m in!

Basically, you get me at “food” every time! I love food, I love to have nice dinners with my friends, I love to enjoy takeaway food, when I had a rough day, I also loooooove to bake and cook whenever I have enough time to do so! Let’s say, that food and I have a particularly passionate relationship! (No, my boyfriend is not jealous! … not always at least!)

3  MAKEUP, WHAT?

Funnily enough, like the lovely Geraldine who nominated me, I don’t know anything about makeup (this was one of her 7 facts). I only wear make up for a special occasion, like a party, a wedding or a dinner out with other people, but most of the time, I don’t wear any at all.

And when I wear some, the list is short: foundation, fixation powder, mascara, eventually eyeliner (if it’s a good day and I didn’t mess it up) and lipstick if it’s a VERY VERY important event and if it fits with the outfit.

That’s all I can do! Don’t ask me to do anything more sophisticated with eyeshadows, contouring and false eyelashes, because it wouldn’t end well… Believe me, I tried already, and I ended up looking… like a panda! (With makeup everywhere except where it was supposed to be!)

4  SINGING AND PLAYING PIANO

I love to sing while playing the piano… not many people know that because I just CAN’T sing in front of other people…

The only people who saw me singing ALONE  (I don’t mind if I’m in a group or choir) so far are my parents and sister, my best friend from university and since very recently… my boyfriend! (Yes… after 2 years of relationship, I can finally sing a few notes in front of him… Wow, What an achievement!)

I would always only sing when I was alone somewhere, so the list is quite short: in the car, in the music room of my university (I had the keys héhé) and home (if no one is there).

The bad news is that I can’t do it anymore since I moved to London as I don’t have a piano…

AND don’t get me wrong: I like to sing but it doesn’t mean that I’m singing well! I’m enjoying it but I don’t consider myself good at it.

5  TRAVELING

I always loved traveling and I had the chance to travel quite a lot in my life (I guess “a lot” is relative but I feel lucky and thankful for the travels I made). I had the chance to go to France, Germany, Finland, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, etc. BUT I never left Europe. (It’s definitely in my plans though!)

I was also pretty thankful for having the chance to study abroad (I studied 2 years in Germany) and met people from all over the world! This was one of the best experience of my life!

And now, I live in London, where I meet people from different countries, different cultures and it’s an awesome feeling! (mostly thanks to the dancing haha)

I’m just starting my traveling journey and I can guarantee you, it’s not over! My bucket list is getting longer every day! Off we go!

6  I LOVE CHANGES

I know that change scares a lot of people… For me, it’s the contrary! I hate falling into a routine and I get bored quite easily as soon as I get into a routine. I love changes, I love challenges and I love experiencing!

I find it very exciting to experience new cultures, travel, challenge yourself and go out of your comfort zone. It’s a new adventure every time!

This is what made me go study in Germany, then lead me to London (it’s been 3 years that I live here) and I know it’s not going to stop there! I don’t know how long I will stay in London but I can easily imagine myself changing countries in the next few years again…

Let the adventure begin!

7  MY SELF-CONFIDENCE IS CLOSE TO 0

Everything is in the title… My self-confidence is close to 0. In other words, I don’t have self-confidence, I doubt myself a lot, I care about what people think of me, I hate conflicts and don’t really know how to deal with them… so I’m just avoiding them as much as I can.

It’s a bit sad, but I’m working on it! It’s getting better with the time but still not quite there yet. Let’s see in a few years!

This is it from my side! It was fun to share 7 things about me for you to get to know me better. Now, it’s time for me to pass it on!
